Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accountant to take full ownership of our company’s financial operations. This role goes beyond bookkeeping — the ideal candidate will manage end-to-end accounting functions, implement robust financial controls, oversee tax compliance, and introduce automation to streamline processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Overseeing statutory filings, tax compliance, and liaising with auditors.

  • Designing and implementing efficient accounting systems and automated workflows.

  • Providing strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.

  • Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or audit-focused role.

  • Strong understanding of taxation laws, regulatory compliance, and audit processes.

  • Proven experience implementing or optimizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or ERP systems).

  • Demonstrated ability to automate and streamline finance workflows.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with C-level leadership

Recruitment Process

  2. First Interview (Technical) – Discussion with our finance consultant to assess technical competence.

  3. Second Interview (Leadership & Strategy) – Conversation with our executive team to evaluate strategic fit, automation experience, and cultural alignment.

  4. Case Study / Task – Candidates may be asked to complete a short accounting or process improvement exercise.

  5. Final Decision & Offer – Selected candidate will be contacted with an offer and start date.
